DarqFlare Enterprises

February 4th, 2009

What is DarqFlare Enterprises, you ask? Well, it’s my business side, if you must ask. For reasons of sanity, I try to keep my business side and personal side separate. Thus, any freelance web development, web design, computer troubleshooting, etc. gets to be put underneath DFE (obviously, I’m using that as my acronym here).

DarqFlare Enterprises started in mid-2007. Its great logo came from the great Jennifer Allen, who is one of the best creative experts I’ve ever seen. Her stuff is awesome. In any case, it succeeds a somewhat-long list of other business names I’ve been a part of since becoming a technology professional. Well, long considered how old I am right now and how long I’ve been a technology professional. Ordered from newest to oldest:

  1. Dambert Lush – A shuttered technology eCommerce website & web services.
  2. Sleek Technologies – The old umbrella for all of my content-based websites before they were temporarily merged into DL.
  3. Darqness Enterprises – Again, an old umbrella before moving to SleekTek, which was a name designed to sound better than Darqness.

That makes 4. DarqFlare Enterprises is the 4th iteration of my business side, and it will stay for quite some time, because I refuse to merge it into anything else unless that “else” is something totally awesome and big and allows me to work for myself.

In any case, DFE offers web development and web design services. Currently, I haven’t put any technology troubleshooting into its list of services because right now, it’s an Internet-only operation and troubleshooting would obviously be limited to the Las Vegas valley. So head on over there and check it out (its pretty sparse, it doesn’t need to be much bigger) if you’re in the market for web development and design.

DFE also houses the DarqFlare Network, a small smattering of content-based and service-based websites I’ve developed. Some haven’t seen work in ages, some need to see more work, but they’re all there for your consumption. I’ve also linked to them in my blog’s links sections.

Also… In case you’re wondering where I got the name from… My online handle since the creation of the Internet (well, since I got Internet access) has been some variation of DarkFlare. I felt since this operation is based entirely on me and my skills, I might as well name it so.
