Shabu Shabu Paradise
Last night for our date, Laura and I hit up Shabu Shabu Paradise. Awhile back, when they first opened, Laura write up an information article about them. Where they were at, what they serve, etc. It wasn’t a restaurant review, just an informative article.
Since there’s no better way to explain them, they’re a Japanese fondue restaurant. They serve you thinly-sliced beef or chicken, and can serve up shrimp and scallops as well. They’ve also got veggies. You then cook these items in boiling water that has been flavored in some manner or other. We usually get the Shabu Shabu flavoring, as it doesn’t add much to the meat besides some onion in the broth. There’s another one that I don’t remember that we haven’t tried.
In any case, I love this place. It’s absolutely awesome. The food and service are great and it’s very filling and very good for you. The fat on the everything cooks off while it’s boiling. I mean, it’s just all kinds of good stuff.
Anyway, just felt like telling everybody that they should go try it out. Totally awesome spot. Laura and I ended up running into Crystal Temple, Cory Owens and Don & Desiree Bowsher when we went last night. Yum yum! It’s at Horizon Ridge and Valle Verde.
